Earning my client's respect and trust through open, honest, and accurate legal counsel is the most rewarding aspect of being an attorney. It not only creates the foundation for lasting relationships, but it also serves as a daily reminder that the practice of law is and always will be about people first. Whether the issue is interesting, challenging, or novel, there is a personal story connected to it and a client looking to me for legal assistance. My profession is who I am; I never take it for granted. As corny as this may seem when I took the Attorney's Oath for the State of New Jersey "to faithfully discharge the duties of an attorney to the best of my ability," it remains as important to me today as it did back in 1994 when I did so in the presence of my mother, father, and wife.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree, with honors, from Rider College, Lawrenceville, NJ, in 1988, and my Juris Doctor degree, with honors, from Temple University – Beasley School of Law, Philadelphia, PA in 1994. I passed the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Bar examinations in the same year. I have been in the private law practice in New Jersey since then. I have been married to my wife, Judy, since 1989 and have two wonderful adult children, Jakob and Sara, who make me proud daily. And, of course, I can't forget my dog, Bo!
I was raised in Lawrenceville, NJ, and over the past 30 years, I proudly served the community not only in the private practice of law, but also as its Municipal Prosecutor, Municipal Attorney, Municipal Judge, and now as its Municipal Manager. Despite this public appointment, I always identify as an attorney first. I remain licensed to practice law and maintain a small, select practice focusing on estate planning, real estate transactions, and business law matters. I enjoy a loyal client base developed over the many years of practicing law, and I find meeting new clients and creating lasting relationships with them very rewarding. Although my law practice may be slightly different than others, I think you will find working with me has its advantages.
